- While trying to recover from severe illness, the late Misora Hibari recorded the famous song, “Midaregami” the theme of which is connected to this historic lighthouse. A monument stone to Hibari contains a built-in sensor in front which signals the presence of a visitor, and makes this song flow from a speaker. There is also her “Kanashiki Kuchibue”, (The Unhappy Whistler), at a statue of the eternal Hibari.

- On a hill 106 meters above sea level, Marine Tower rises 59.9 meters, affording an inhalation of fresh sea breeze and a breathtaking 360-degree panoramic view of the Pacific and surrounding area from the Sky Step observation room.

- There is much to see and enjoy in the large hall of this big attraction. Fishmongers are hawking the fresh catches sold at auction which one can relish at the same site in a choice of restaurants. This is the terminal for the cruise ships. Onahama Port always has fresh attractions for your enjoyment.

- Fukushima has a marvelous aquarium based on the theme of two ocean currents meeting, giving visitors a rare look at and understanding of the Pacific from many perspectives.

- People come from other areas as well as Fukushima to enjoy swimming and sunbathing at the prefecture’s largest beach. Not so far from the station are other tourist facilities and attractions like Nakoso-Seki–Ato.
